Reconnection in Turbulent Fluid and its Implications
Workshop
Kraków, Oct 10th-11th 2008
The Organizing Commitee
The organizers are
Katarzyna Otmianowska-Mazur (Astronomical Observatory Jagiellonian University Krakow),
Alex Lazarian (University Madison-Wisconsin)
and Ethan Vishniac (McMaster University).
There is a lot of confusion what turbulence does to reconnection. Therefore, we feel that there is a necessity to have during the meeting the talks which cover the history of the field, introduce the stochastic reconnection idea and simulations of the stochastic reconnection. We would like to bring to our boat also observers, and experimentalists. Also, it is good to have some relation to people doing collisionless plasma reconnection. This is our motivation to the meeting.

The Workshop place is the Jagiellonian University Conference Centre situated in the Institute of Polish Diaspora and Ethnic Studies in Przegorzały, Kraków (more info...).
